All About Lougheed Farm & Estates
Lougheed Farm & Estates resides in Brantford, Ontario Canada; we first established in Princeton, Ontario 2013 and in 2016 moved to a bigger farm in Brantford but have been around a lot longer then that. The Lougheed's started early 1820 just outside of a small town called Feversham, Ontario; there my great grandfather started his own farm in Ontario after leaving Ireland. I remember mostly having a barn full of either Percheron or Belgium draft horses on the farm and the most quiet gentle giants you could ask for. I started off real young learning to groom the horses and making them shine, as I got older I learned to harness the horses and the proper way of hooking up a team of two horses to a wagon that we would use around the farm. I learned to drive a team of horses when I was at the age of 6, and loved every moment of it. From that moment on that I went everywhere within reasonable distance with a horse or two. The Lougheed farm, in Feversham, Ontario Canada was sold when I was 14, but today I live on to enjoy what I love most and that is farmin' with horses.
If you know us, we are known to hook up the horses and go for a Saturday or Sunday drive through-out the country side.
We provide wagon rides in the summer time and sleigh rides in the winter time for all ages.
Our wagon fits up to 10 adults and younger kids can sit on parents laps; we travel on country roads in the area where the farm is. People really love seeing the country side in the wagon and all the other horses that come up to the edge of the road to say hi to our horses, also put on a show for everyone to watch.
The sleigh holds up to 12 adults and we provide rides here on the farm around on the fields.
